Unusual buttons

I recently bought this beautiful blouse from Etsy, from the 40s according to the seller. When I got it I noticed the buttons, or rather lack thereof, is pretty curious. Both sides have tiny holes, and the single button still left is like a cufflink.

I thought the buttons (or button) may just be tiny cufflinks but just now I realised they must be like those little studs you use to close tuxedo shirts. It seems very unusual on a woman’s blouse though! Have you seen a blouse or dress with this type of closing before?

When I visited my parents home a while ago I went through some old buttons from my grandmother to take home with me, and I actually found one more little cufflink or tuxedo stud among them, unfortunately not matching. The one with the white stone came with the blouse and the red one is from the button stash. They close in different ways, the white one with a spring and the red one folds in and and out on hinges.

Here are some more of the buttons and things I found, I love the art deco-style belt buckle! I also found some old hair combs that I will probably show later.
