I found this via Byggfabriken’s blog. Tons of incredibly beautiful colour photos taken by a Swedish engineer, Daniel Fredrik Bruno, on his business and vacation travels in Scandinavia during the 1940s. You can read the story (in Swedish) behind how the photos ended up at the Swedish National Heritage Board here.

I’m going on a road trip through southern Sweden this summer so these photos are putting me perfectly in the mood! I only wish the photos were a little bit larger, especially the street scenes have so many fascinating details I’d like to study closer.
