A while ago we were seriously considering buying this beautiful house in our neighbourhood. However it is pretty much in total disrepair, so after some examination we realised fixing it up would take us many years.

While I would love to restore an old house we weren’t ready to take on such a massive project, and even if we did eventually fix it up it would probably still be a bit too small.

Since it’s unfortunately quite likely to be torn down by the new buyer (I hope not!), I went there to take some photos of it before it’s too late.

The old owner must have been a smith, since it’s decorated all over with amazing ironwork and some cool modernist metal sculptures.

This reminds me of the Totoro house a bit!
