I am forever a goth at heart, so here are some of my favourite horror heroines and other gothic beauties.
One of my ultimate role models, Carolyn Jones as Morticia. She has it all, looks, style, the perfect home and the ideal husband.
As much as I adore the “new” Addams family movies (Addams Family Values is one of my very favourite movies), the 60s versions of Morticia and Gomez are my favourites. The kids are better in the movies though, no one could be a better Wednesday than Christina Ricci.
Swoon!
Without her Morticia getup, still gorgeous.
I’ve never seen anyone look so goth covered in daisies.
Lota in Island of Lost Souls, played by Kathleen Burke, is one of my favourite characters of all time, and one of the most beautiful. I dressed up as her for Halloween a couple of years ago! Source: Vintagegal
The ultimate goth beauty, Vampira, in one of the best outfits ever. (I was her for Halloween as well!) Source: Vintagegal
The best sunglasses of all time.
Beach goth.
Maila Nurmi without the Vampira look. It’s so amazing that she looked this punk in the 50s.
Can’t have a goth post without Bettie Page!
Amazing boots.
I’ve never warmed to the Munsters and don’t think they hold a candle to the Addams Family, but there’s no denying Lily Munster looks fantastic.
Elsa Lanchester as the bride of Frankenstein.

Movies set in Egypt are always great goth inspiration. This is one of my favourites among Elizabeth Taylor’s many amazing looks in Cleopatra.
