I almost forgot about this very belated Instagram post!
My desk is some sort of space adventure wonderland at the moment. I wish I had room for a proper little studio!
Polka dots and sun a while ago.
Just some good makeup.
Hope I’m not boring you with my plants but the leaves all look so nice together.
Exceptionally cosy candlelit evening the other day.
My Hand of Glory inspired candle holder in action.
Out and about.
Managing my etsy shop last week.
Lots of skeletons in my ears when I went to an exhibition about royal deaths and funerals a couple of weeks ago.
Just finished a new batch of tops to paint! Some new colours this time, and sleeves.
Painting detail.
It’s hard to capture something made from all black materials, but I’m making a hat inspired by victorian mourning bonnets. It looks a lot better in real life!
An outtake from the hand painted tops shoot. (Slime and Scales tops are still available on Etsy, and I’m working on more).
Balancing dinosaurs on Nikon’s head back on Easter weekend at my parents’.
Sunny window.
Tired with smudged but nice glittery green eyeshadow a while ago.
A casual pink 80s day.
Lamenting that this excellent shirt is now almost completely in tatters. I’ll make it work somehow!
Taking this out for some well overdue practise.
Taking a break from violin practise to iron the most amazing dress with every animal print imaginable.
Dressed as a gunslinger for karaoke night.
Karaoke night was a bit of a disappointment, too many weird versions of songs, and I blame my recently healed throat for some bad singing, but at least I looked pretty good heading out in my grandmother’s leather coat.
Finished the mourning bonnet! I feel like a gloomy Scarlett O’Hara.
The mannequin looks pretty fetching today.
To continue the mourning theme, here’s a lovely royal mourning hat from from the 1950s I saw at a museum a few weeks ago. I’ll probably try to re recreate it someday, with detachable veil.
My little carnivorous garden.
Pleased that my hair is getting longer!
Pretending to be an undead biker.
For those who wanted to know how I made my rag curls. They’re not just wrapped up like regular rag curls but sort of braided around the rag ends and tied together.
Rag curl result.
A dreary day with rubbish lighting calls for heavy filters… Some of my Barbies in the hallway.
Excellent rubber spiders.
Skipper, Miss Fury and some plastic horses.
