I just added a new reward on Patreon!

Once a month I will hold a raffle where one patron gets to commission a simple sketch of anything they want (within reason). The sketch will be posted exclusively on my Patreon blog and the winning patron will also receive a high res scan for personal use.

All patrons are entered into the raffle. You get one ticket for every dollar pledged, so if you pledge $5 you have five chances to win each month.

I’ve just joined Patreon, a site where you can pledge money to support all kinds of creators. I’m hoping it will enable me to spend more time and money on my art, make bigger projects, and help me keep doing art as my main occupation for as long as possible.

If you’d like to help me out a bit, and get some rewards in return, check it out! Pledges start at $1 a month and you get access to a special feed, which I’ll try to update at least once a week, with various exclusive material that I won’t post anywhere else. If you have any ideas for other rewards, let me know!

As a special Christmas treat you can buy prints of pretty much any picture on johannaost.com! The campaign starts today and lasts until December 16.

Orders placed within this time will be shipped on December 18 (which means they probably won’t actually get to you until after Christmas).

All prints are $27 regardless of size. They will be printed very close to their original size, which is listed next to every picture on my site, where you will also find the “buy print” link.

The prints offered on Etsy will continue to be sold there at the same prices as before, and are not part of this offer.

I entered a tote bag design competition for my favourite lingerie company, What Katie Did, and my design ended up as one of the top 6! You can vote for your favourite here.

It was just a matter of time before I painted something inspired by Bottom, it’s just a shame I didn’t get around to it before June… I finished these a while ago but haven’t really shared them anywhere until now because I hate getting comments about Rik’s death.

Prints of Coven are now available in my Etsy shop!

I just listed a bunch of original illustrations in my Etsy shop.

I made them for two books of cat poems by Stefan Freedman, Catmagick and The Cat’s Whiskers, in 2006 and 2007.

They’re all very inexpensive (several cost less than a print) so it’s a great chance to own an original illustration if you can’t afford my regular prices!
