Road trip

A couple of days ago we got back from a road trip through southern Sweden.

When I was a kid my family went on vacation somewhere in Sweden every summer, but Henrik and I have never really traveled in Sweden as grown ups, so I’ve been wanting to do this for a while. I wanted to go on a road trip to see many places, but we had to cut it down to just southern Sweden, and about 6 overnight stops.

Finally, here are the photos from our last day at Disneyland, which was spent at both parks.

I haven’t had the energy and time to read and reply to all the wonderful blog comments I’ve gotten since I got back from our trip, I’m sorry if you’ve felt ignored! But now I’ve read them all, so do check back if you’ve been waiting for a reply!

California 2013: Disneyland day two

The second day at Disneyland Resort we went to California Adventure. I was pretty excited about it since they have changed lots of stuff since I was last there. I was mostly excited about seeing Buena Vista Street, which is supposed to be like a Los Angeles street in the 1920s, lots of beautiful art deco architecture!

California 2013: Palm Springs day two

Apr 17, 2013 in Travels and My photos

I don’t have many photos from this day since most of it was spent on a great guided tour of Palm Springs’ mid century architecture. Our hotel had (oh so comfortable) bikes to loan so we took a nice bike ride to the Palm Springs visitors center at the very edge of Palm Springs, where our tour started.

We were in a car for the duration of the tour and didn’t really have time for pictures but we saw so many amazing houses, now I really want an Alexander house! I highly recommend taking the Palm Springs Modern tour with Robert Imber if you’re at all into mid century modern architecture.

USA tips

Feb 15, 2013 in Travels

Me and Henrik are thinking about maybe going to stay in the US for three months sometime, partly as a sort of “trial” to see if living in the US (or perhaps Canada) full time is something we’d like to do. So far it’s just a very loose plan and we’re not sure what would be a good place to choose for an extended stay. North America is a huge place, so I’d love to get some tips!

What do you think is the best area to live in in? I have some criteria, but feel free to give tips even if they don’t fit. Preferably I want to live somewhere with a fairly similar climate to Sweden, four seasons with a proper snowy winter. I hate wind so maybe not a super windy place, and not too humid. Also, I want to live in a open minded place where I will feel comfortable dressing outside of the norm.

Also, we’re going to Palm Springs this April, so Palm Springs tips are very welcome as well!

Palm Springs tips

May 9, 2012 in Travels

I’m planning a future trip to Palm Springs, perhaps this winter. Any tips for things to see and do?

On the list so far is a mid century architecture tour, the aerial tramway and the Indian Canyons.
